Suspended animation is the process of "dying" then coming back unharmed. In the ted talk suspended animation would be used to assist those who are in trauma. Already with out advanced technology we are treating those who are frozen, and can bring them back to life. We can suspend people by introducing them to low oxygen levels and by doing this allows us to survive cold temperatures. A new study also suggests using hydrogen sulfide to initiate suspended animation. Animals could survive high blood loss as well.
This is a pretty sweet idea, that we can use a poison to save lives . This was made five years ago, so it is interesting to see how much farther we have actually gotten to this point where we can save anyone's life no matter how badly they are injured. With this we can soon hopefully travel farther distances, and explore more planets, along with saving lives.
