The person speaking talks about how we can use superconductors to create free energy for transportation of people and cargo. By using superconductors we can create a pollution free energy source. Also in addition to moving objects, you can also lift items hundreds of times heavier than the superconductor. This is very amazing because we can soon become coal and oil free as an entire planet. You can also store items and transfer power with these superconductors. With superconductors we will be able to do amazing, and mind blowing things. However, this will take a while since there is an issue with maintaining the conditions for the super conductor to remain a super conductor.

<![CDATA[SciFi: It's a Good Life]]>Thu, 22 Oct 2015 15:52:50 GMThttp://nathanblizzardisbetterthanyou.weebly.com/scifiscififact-blog/scifi-its-a-good-lifeIn this episode a town is terrorized by a 6 year old boy, named Anthony, who has the power to read minds and change people and things if they displease him. They entire town are hostages and must always think and say nice things no matter how awful things really are. The kid hates everyone who hates him, and eventually enough everyone does not like him.
This is really good example of mutant children, this is due to the fact that he is the only child that can make an entire country just disappear and can do what ever he pleases. Anthony has become basically the god of this town, and the people are utterly terrified of him. It is very strange that the populous refused to kill him. Like they had many opportunities to do so and they wasted them so why did they not do it. It begs the question do they like it more Anthony's way over the normal, conventional life? Why do they enjoy his torture more than being normal? Does the boy have the power to influence thoughts as well, and if so does he make people he does not like, not like him on purpose so he has a reason to banish them?

<![CDATA[Week 4: Suspended Animation]]>Mon, 19 Oct 2015 14:58:53 GMThttp://nathanblizzardisbetterthanyou.weebly.com/scifiscififact-blog/week-4-suspended-animationSuspended animation is the process of "dying" then coming back unharmed. In the ted talk suspended animation would be used to assist those who are in trauma. Already with out advanced technology we are treating those who are frozen, and can bring them back to life. We can suspend people by introducing them to low oxygen levels and by doing this allows us to survive cold temperatures. A new study also suggests using hydrogen sulfide to initiate suspended animation. Animals could survive high blood loss as well.
This is a pretty sweet idea, that we can use a poison to save lives . This was made five years ago, so it is interesting to see how much farther we have actually gotten to this point where we can save anyone's life no matter how badly they are injured. With this we can soon hopefully travel farther distances, and explore more planets, along with saving lives.

<![CDATA[Scifi to serve man]]>Thu, 01 Oct 2015 15:15:42 GMThttp://nathanblizzardisbetterthanyou.weebly.com/scifiscififact-blog/scifi-to-serve-manIn this episode of the Twilight Zone, aliens invade the world. Humanity was completely unprepared for this event. They were told that they should not make any hostilities with the aliens. These aliens want to help humanity out. The humans are very skeptical of how much help they would be. However, the aliens pass all forms of lie detection possible. It is interesting to see how positive an impact that aliens could have on the planet. However, the aliens just wanted to eat humans, and was just fattening us up. It just goes to show to never ever trust aliens. It was very puzzling to see that they passed the lie detector test, when they were very clearly lying about their motives.

This episode had all 3+1 elements of science fiction. It had a very good ambiguous ending. What happened to the guy? did he die or escape, what happened to the rest of humanity? The entire episode had good high adventure with the fact of trying to determine if the aliens were dirty lairs or not. The episode also had good suspension of beliefs because how could a random earth woman decode a highly advanced alien language when a master decoder could not. Also the aliens could travel across the universe in only a couple of days is not only impossible, but very dangerous.

<![CDATA[Sci Fact: The next species of human]]>Thu, 17 Sep 2015 15:52:53 GMThttp://nathanblizzardisbetterthanyou.weebly.com/scifiscififact-blog/sci-fact-the-next-species-of-humanThe fact that we will be able to eventually control our species and how it evolves will is awesome. However, it will be very problematic for our entitlement based economic system. We already have a problem with people retiring too early, and with the new technology coming out human life expectancy will increase dramatically. We are on the verge of coming to the point where technology will surpass humans, and when we get to that line we will have two choices. One we can not cross it and never have to worry about it, or what will probably happen is that we will cross it with vigor. For the biggest threat to humanity is not disease, or natural disaster, our biggest threat to our species is our endless pursuit of knowledge.

<![CDATA[SciFi: The Invaders]]>Tue, 15 Sep 2015 16:05:10 GMThttp://nathanblizzardisbetterthanyou.weebly.com/scifiscififact-blog/scifi-the-invadersThe episode starts off by jumping into scifi by bringing the viewer to another reality and another world. I like how they do this, by fully surmising the reader into this new world they can get straight to the point of the episode and start to make you think.
The next thing they did was the introduction of the other worldly sound. The sound that they played was intriguing because you do not really think of alien invasions being carried out via sound, and how the actress responds to it is was pretty realistic, The continuation of the sounds being the invader's means of attack is something that is not often seen in scifi. Usually aliens are violent but in this case they mean to drive their victim insane by constantly projecting random noises at her, it is utterly brilliant. I wish they still used this approach for the rest of the episode but alas they went back to the whole evil violent alien thing.
However I do that their take on the aliens is amazing. Instead of having giant green people, they chose to use tiny little robots. Which is a whole new take on what aliens would be. Instead of monsters, they are cute little robots with lasers.
It was a cool twist that the aliens were actually from earth. You would begin to think that we are on the planet, but it turns out that we were the tiny invaders from outer space. The peacefulness ending was awesome
