The person speaking talks about how we can use superconductors to create free energy for transportation of people and cargo. By using superconductors we can create a pollution free energy source. Also in addition to moving objects, you can also lift items hundreds of times heavier than the superconductor. This is very amazing because we can soon become coal and oil free as an entire planet. You can also store items and transfer power with these superconductors. With superconductors we will be able to do amazing, and mind blowing things. However, this will take a while since there is an issue with maintaining the conditions for the super conductor to remain a super conductor. |

In this episode a town is terrorized by a 6 year old boy, named Anthony, who has the power to read minds and change people and things if they displease him. They entire town are hostages and must always think and say nice things no matter how awful things really are. The kid hates everyone who hates him, and eventually enough everyone does not like him.
This is really good example of mutant children, this is due to the fact that he is the only child that can make an entire country just disappear and can do what ever he pleases. Anthony has become basically the god of this town, and the people are utterly terrified of him. It is very strange that the populous refused to kill him. Like they had many opportunities to do so and they wasted them so why did they not do it. It begs the question do they like it more Anthony's way over the normal, conventional life? Why do they enjoy his torture more than being normal? Does the boy have the power to influence thoughts as well, and if so does he make people he does not like, not like him on purpose so he has a reason to banish them? Suspended animation is the process of "dying" then coming back unharmed. In the ted talk suspended animation would be used to assist those who are in trauma. Already with out advanced technology we are treating those who are frozen, and can bring them back to life. We can suspend people by introducing them to low oxygen levels and by doing this allows us to survive cold temperatures. A new study also suggests using hydrogen sulfide to initiate suspended animation. Animals could survive high blood loss as well.
This is a pretty sweet idea, that we can use a poison to save lives . This was made five years ago, so it is interesting to see how much farther we have actually gotten to this point where we can save anyone's life no matter how badly they are injured. With this we can soon hopefully travel farther distances, and explore more planets, along with saving lives. In this episode of the Twilight Zone, aliens invade the world. Humanity was completely unprepared for this event. They were told that they should not make any hostilities with the aliens. These aliens want to help humanity out. The humans are very skeptical of how much help they would be. However, the aliens pass all forms of lie detection possible. It is interesting to see how positive an impact that aliens could have on the planet. However, the aliens just wanted to eat humans, and was just fattening us up. It just goes to show to never ever trust aliens. It was very puzzling to see that they passed the lie detector test, when they were very clearly lying about their motives.
This episode had all 3+1 elements of science fiction. It had a very good ambiguous ending. What happened to the guy? did he die or escape, what happened to the rest of humanity? The entire episode had good high adventure with the fact of trying to determine if the aliens were dirty lairs or not. The episode also had good suspension of beliefs because how could a random earth woman decode a highly advanced alien language when a master decoder could not. Also the aliens could travel across the universe in only a couple of days is not only impossible, but very dangerous. |
